On February 21, Ambassador Elnur Sultanov held a meeting with Inga Bērziņa, Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of Latvia.
During the meeting the views were exchanged on possibilities of strengthening cooperation in the field of environmental protection. The sides emphasized the importance of the continued cooperation and exchange of experience between the cities and municipalities of Azerbaijan and Latvia.
Ambassador Elnur Sultanov informed Minister Inga Bērziņa on the measures taken by Azerbaijan related to development of renewable energy, green energy transition, hosting COP29, as well as reconstruction works and environmental rehabilitation in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
